Come to this one-off Launch Night to see if Alpha is for you. If you enjoy yourself, Alpha will run weekly for another five Wednesdays.

So, what actually happens at Alpha?

Meet up
Follow the Alpha signs to the function room. Grab a drink from the bar and introduce yourself to the others on your table. We'll get chatting while we wait for the pizza to come out.

Hear a talk
A guy named Matt will give a talk, designed to spark meaningful conversation about life's purpose and meaning. Matt's a Christian, but you're invited to be authentic to your worldview or religion.

Share your thoughts
During the evening's talk, as well as before and after there will be opportunity for you to share your perspective, ask your own questions, or simply listen to others on your table.

Yes!
If you're a parent you know full well how many of your sentences get interrupted by your well-meaning children. So if it's possible for you to get your kids baby-sat on a Wednesday night, then go for it. That'll free you up to engage meaningfully with those around you. But if you are bringing your kids, we are ready for them! We'll have a small team of volunteers who will do some quiet activities with them on the other side of the room. Just let us know when you register.
We'll be all done by 8.45pm, but if you want to stick around for some foosball or darts, then go for it. After the Launch Event, Alpha will continue for another five Wednesdays, but there's no obligation to continue if it's not for you.

We just ask that you pay for any drinks. We'll put on free pizzas for everyone at the Launch Event, and hopefully for each week after that!

Nope! In fact, Alpha has been put together for people who wouldn't call themselves religious at all. We won't assume anything, and you won't be asked to commit to anything churchy.

It'll be a fun, relaxed, informative evening to check out what Alpha is with zero commitment.
 
Then if you like it simply come back the following Wednesday to begin the five week Alpha journey of new friendships, fun, meaningful conversation and exploring the big questions of faith.
